WFI Plant Capacity Upgrade Project
The WFI (Water for Injection) plant capacity upgrade project at Bristol-Myers Squibb's facility in Mulhuddart, Blanchardstown, involved significant enhancements to the existing infrastructure to increase the plant's capacity. Reenellen managed the civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) elements of the project, ensuring the design, structural integrity and build of the new installation’s facility building.
Reenellen collaborated closely with the client and various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the project. The scope of work included the sites civil ground works, process tank bund, structural framework and cladding for the building extension, roof install and fitout and installation and fitout of internal building for new equipment and facility upgrades to existing systems, and other extensive ancillary working including mechanical and electrical works. Throughout the project, Reenellen managed the main CSA contractors on site, ensuring meticulous coordination and adherence to strict pharmaceutical standards.
The project faced several challenges, including maintaining operations within an active pharmaceutical production environment and adhering to stringent timelines. Effective sequencing and coordination between contractors were crucial to the project's success, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing production activities.
